Welcome to the discussions!
+Is there a way to force a mac client running OS X 10.6.2 to only look for 5GHz networks? Or at least 'prefer' the 5GHz band?+
You will first need to assign a different name to the 5 GHz network
AirPort Utility > Manual Setup > Wireless tab > Wireless Options
Update to save changes
Log on to the network by locating it using the AirPort Icon at the top of your screen.
On your Mac,
Open System Preferences
Click Network
Click Airport on the left and then click Advanced at the lower right
Drag the name of the 5 GHz network to the top of the list
Apply changes
Your computer will now look for the 5 GHz network first.

If you are using a Mac Mini this way or your Mac is located in a closet or other remote location you can control one Mac from another. The big bonus is that you can run Xcode and work on configurations, changes, updates, etc. All using the normal macOS screen. Perform these steps on the remote Mac to be controlled: Start System Preferences. Dear all, I am trying to install on Mac OS X 10.4.11. Someone with more experience may be able to spot the issue quickly. I've successfully compiled and installed the latest libusb libraries, 0.1.12 into /usr/local/lib.

I'm wondering if there is a way to install Mac OS High Sierra using terminal onto a specified drive? I'm working with a bit of a unique situation as I've been running Mac OS Sierra successfully in a RAID0 setup on a 15' 2011 MacBook Pro. I've swapped the SATA-connected optical drive for a second internal SSD for maximum read and write speeds. The Apex Pro is the biggest leap in mechanical keyboards since the invention of the mechanical switch over 35 years ago.
