Stickies is an application for Apple Macintosh computers that puts Post-it note-like windows on the screen for the user to write short reminders, notes and other clippings. Contents are automatically stored, and restored when the application is restarted. An unrelated freeware program with the same name and functionality is available for Microsoft Windows. Similar applications are available for most operating. Sticky Notes + Widget Notes and Home Widget for Mac requires OS X 10.11 or later. In the Stickies app on your Mac, do any of the following: Add a list: Press Option-Tab, enter your first item, then press Return. End a list (and add a regular paragraph): Click at the end of the last list item, then press Return twice. Increase list level: Click a line in the list, then press Tab. In short, this experiment was a disaster, and you can't really save Mac Stickies anywhere other than the default database where Apple intends them to be stored. You can actually save a Mac sticky note to a file, but this is a one-way trip: After you save the sticky note to a file, the Mac Stickies application doesn't bother to read from it again.
